East 10th Street United Methodist Church (Where we are currently meeting)
Victory Chapel got its start in Willard Park (Indianapolis), meeting around picnic tables and benches sharing the Word of God with homeless neighbors, drug addicts, prostitutes, and anyone who would join us in our worship. From the very beginning we grew until we required something more adequate for us to meet in.
At that time the Care Center (a battered woman's shelter) supplied a gymnasium for us to use. We recently transitioned to our newest location - the 10th Street United Methodist Church.
We do not have programs for food or housing. Instead, we care for individuals - people that God most certainly loves. We are a family, and we care about one another very much! Making Christ visible is our desire and our goal!
Working in conjunction with Union Bible College and other schools, Victory Chapel is also a place where young people participate while training for future ministry. Our dream is that these young people will start similar ministries in other cities throughout our great nation. With a diverse and growing congregation, Victory Chapel is following Christ and leading the way in urban ministry.
